What part of the country/World do you live in?
Hello everyone! I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but I now live in Southampton, Pennsylvania (a suburb about 30 minutes from Philly.)

What are your top 3 favorite things to do?
My top three favorite things to do would have to be:
1. ) Vibing to all different types of music and going to concerts
2. ) Spending time with my family (I’m super family oriented)
3. ) Just chilling in bed binge watching shows on Netflix.

2.jpg

What do you do for a living?
I am currently on my second year of college and about to get my Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. Meanwhile, I am also taking classes to become a certified paralegal and I’m interning at a law firm! My ultimate goal is to go to Law School when I get my Bachelor’s degree.

Tell us what it means to you to be a fan of Haley Reinhart?
Supporting Haley has been the best experience ever and I can’t believe that I’ve been on this journey with her for about seven years now! I’ve watched Haley grow as a musician and become comfortable with everything that she does. I’ve also watched Haley grow as a person- she honestly exudes confidence in every aspect possible and this definitely rubbed off on me! Me and the other Haliens who have supported her since day one try to promote her as much as possible and we are honestly so happy to see her succeed. I don’t see us as a fandom- I honestly see us as a family and I’m so glad that I’m a part of it.

Tell us about the first time you saw or heard Haley’s music? Where was it and what do you remember?
The first time I saw Haley was when she was on American Idol! I watched season 10 from the beginning, but it wasn’t until Top 11 week where Haley sang “You’ve Really Got a Hold On Me” that I fell in love. The following week was the week that she sang “Bennie and The Jets” and I knew that I would stan her forever.

How do you show your fandom for Haley?
I show my fandom for Haley mostly by my Twitter account! I’ve been on Twitter since 2011 and I’ve been a dedicated fan ever since! I tweet all of the other Haliens on the daily and I love connecting with them and Haley! Every year for her birthday we do something for Haley and I love all the creative things that everyone comes up with! (Throwback to that one time I made that video for the anniversary of Free which was so cringeworthy lmao.)

And here's that video....

Also all of our inside jokes are the best and the fandom is literally amazing.

What in your mind makes Haley Reinhart stand out from any other artist?
Whenever I listen to Haley Reinhart I forget what I’m doing at that moment and her music literally brings me on a journey to somewhere out of this world. The emotion she puts in her music, will make you feel whatever she’s feeling as she’s singing it and it is literally so mesmerizing to watch/hear. Her attitude is honestly amazing too and she is one of the sweetest people that I have ever met- all of these reasons are why she stands out from the rest!

What currently is the most played song in your music library?
The most played song in my music library at the moment is Good or Bad by Haley Reinhart because lately I’ve been feeling like a bad bi**h.

What’s your favorite song from Haley Reinhart and why?
Lmao… how can you do this to me guys? However, if I had to pick I would probably say “Love is Worth Fighting for.” This song means SO much to me honestly… like the message behind it is perfect and you can literally bend it to fit any struggle that you’re facing in life at any particular time. The vocals on this song are also flawless... just saying. I also LOVE “Good or Bad” and it makes me feel like the baddest b***h ever.

What is your favorite album from Haley Reinhart and why?
B-E-T-T-E-R!
We waited so long for this album and it was honestly worth the wait. EVERY song is perfect…like when will your fav ever??? This album is literally Haley’s love child- she clearly carefully sculpted and picked each and every song on the album AND she wrote mostly all of them. They are ALL iconic and the album is literally my favorite ever.

Haley frequently collaborates with Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox… what’s your favorite cover by the group and Haley so far and why?
CREEP!!! HANDS DOWN!!! NO QUESTIONS ASKED!! I’ve heard this live three times I think and I am literally still SHOOK every time. This is PMJ’s most viewed Youtube video and there is DEFINITELY a reason for it. EVERY TIME Haley sings this live she serves flawless vocals and emotion and the entire crowd is always left shook. Honorable mention to Seven Nation Army though because that is also flawless. I’m still dying for her to do an actual cover of Imagine or a cover of Somewhere Over the Rainbow because that is my favorite song ever and I need her to sing it at some point!!!

Haley voices the character of Bill on Netflix’s F is for Family. Did you ever picture Haley being the voice of a little boy? What’s your favorite episode so far?
Honestly yes and no. I remember a few years back when Haley and her family did a Stageit around Christmas time where they sang a bunch of Christmas carols. I vividly remember Haley playing with an elf and making a voice and her singing a Christmas song from Charlie Brown and I was like hmmm…she could definitely do something with this! However, NEVER did I imagine that Haley would be the voice of a little boy in a raunchy, Family Guy-esque television show… but I LOVE IT! Every episode is hilarious but my favorite is definitely the one where we hear Haley singing Oh Holy Night! (ps sis if you’re reading this… us Haliens desperately need you to drop a Christmas album at some point. thank you!!! Xoxo) I also love the episode where Bill is at the football game and has to use the bathroom and the episode where he catches his parents having sex. HAHAHA

Season 2 premiered on Netflix recently, have you watched all the episodes already?
OF COURSE I HAVE. I literally binged it all in one day. Not only have I watched the whole thing though, so did my family! I literally got my whole family into the show and they all love it- even my younger sisters! Ooops…

How do you stay connected with your favorite artists?
Social media has been a GODSEND to me the past few years. Like honestly I might sound like such a millennial but I don’t think I could ever go back to living in a world without the technology that we have today lmao. That being said, I usually use Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and Myspace to keep up with my favorite artists.

What’s your favorite piece of Haley Reinhart memorabilia?
My favorite piece of Haley Reinhart memorabilia is definitely my signed Listen Up! postcard booklet. I remember religiously checking my tracking info EVERY DAY until it arrived. I got it before the actual album was released to the public and I was so freaking excited that I had it before everyone else. ALSO I’m currently trying to put all my signed Haley Reinhart CD’s in frames, but I lost my signed Listen Up! CD so if any of you Haliens have an extra one PLEASE HIT YOUR BOY UP! xoxo

What was your first concert ever, the last concert you’ve seen and what will be the next?
My first concert was the Idol Season 10 tour (where I saw Haley for the first time) and my last was the What’s that Sound? Tour! At the moment my next concert is Harry Styles this summer but I really want to see Sam Smith and Demi Lovato too!

How many times have you seen Haley Reinhart live?
Okay… so I’ve seen Haley Reinhart a total of six times live. The first time was the Season 10 Idol Tour, the second time was the Rock n’ Roll Marathon that she headlined in Philly (she wasn’t set to come on stage until the race was over around 1pm but I literally woke up at like 4am, got to the venue around 5am and just waited in the front row until Haley came out. The security guards working the event saw that I was so dedicated and Haley knew who I was so they gave me VIP passes to go backstage and talk to Haley! I literally died. LMAO @ FETUS ME BELOW), then I saw her twice with Postmodern Jukebox, and once on each of her headlining tours.

Did you attend any shows on Haley’s 2016 U.S. or 2017 European Tour? If so, which ones?
I did! I saw Haley in Philadelphia for her Better Tour on June 19, 2016 at the World Café Live. (This was honestly one of my FAVORITE concerts that I’ve ever been to! It meant SOO much to me to go to a show on Haley Reinhart’s OWN headlining tour- something she’s worked so hard for since Idol. The “Better” album was ICONIC and all of the songs were high-key bops!!! It was obvious that Haley was so proud of the album and she definitely proved it when she sang the songs from Better on tour. You could feel everything she was singing and that’s what I loved most about it.)

Did you attend any of the shows on the What’s That Sound? Tour?
I did! I saw Haley in Philadelphia for her What’s That Sound? Tour not too long ago! (November 10, 2017) at the World Café Live. (Okay this concert LITERALLY killed me… I died multiple times and I will explain it all. So I went to the show with my mom and we got in line. Shortly after, they started letting us all into the area with the stage where Haley and her band were about to do the sound check. I was all the way in the back of the line because I always do that in order to get the most time talking to Haley. So there’s about 50 people already in the venue for the sound check and out of the whole crowd Haley sees me and literally talks to me on the microphone in front of everybody. I honestly felt like I saw her eyes light up and we made eye contact and she said something along the lines of “Oh my gosh! Hello! It’s so nice to see you again. Long time no see right? What’s it been? A year and a half?” (I was SHOOK because it was literally a year and a half since I saw her last) and then she said “Wow look at you! You’ve grown up so much over the past 7 years! You are such a handsome, stylish young man now!” I died. So after she does the sound check, we all get in line for the meet and greet. There were these two little girls there dressed up as Haley from her PMJ video with Puddles the Clown and her interaction with them was the CUTEST. It was eventually my turn to talk to Haley and we literally talked for like 5-10 minutes about the most random things (Her devouring a Philly cheesesteak 5 minutes before she came out for the meet and greet, etc.) She signed my stuff, we took the pictures, and then I gave her a necklace that I got her which she loved! Overall, the entire meet and greet experience was a dream come true and I couldn’t have been happier. That whole series of events got my adrenaline PUMPING and Haley came out and put on one of the BEST SHOWS that I’ve EVER been to. The crowd was HUGE and they LOVED her. Haley made eye contact and pointed at me so many times during the show and I died inside each time. The concert and the whole experience was honestly one of the best days in my entire life. I love Haley Reinhart so much! And hey guys… she finally did the “fall tour” she was talking about for years;)

15.jpg

What’s the furthest you’ve traveled to see a concert?
The furthest that I’ve traveled to see a concert was Phoenix, Arizona (about 2,346 miles.) Here I went to the Idol Season 14 Tour with a group of friends that I met on Twitter! I’m going to talk about them in more detail a few questions down.

Tell us something about Haley Reinhart that a lot of other fans may not know?
The one thing about Haley Reinhart that a lot of other fans may not know is that she LITERALLY has a heart of gold (most people probably know this but I’m going to explain my experience with her.) Okay so I might have been sort of MIA on Twitter for a short period of time and many of you may (or may not) know this but I had open heart surgery in 2015. This was honestly one of the scariest things in my entire life, but I got through it with the help of Haley. Her music and her attitude in general have taught me SO much throughout the past seven years that I’ve followed her and I am so grateful for everything that she has taught me. SO… Haley knew that I was getting/had open heart surgery and she was genuinely so concerned- the fact that she knew and cared about me got me through a lot. In November of 2015 (about 2 months after my surgery) PMJ was coming to the Philadelphia area and I couldn’t miss it- I had to go! Thanks to Haley Reinhart, Lavance Colley, Scott Bradlee, the Zoellner Arts Center, (and my mom) I got free tickets and VIP passes to the show. When I went to the meet and greet and talked with Haley she gave me a hug, asked how I was doing since surgery, and we just talked for a while. This entire experience was so heartwarming and it was at that moment when I realized that I stanned a QUEEN! Haley Reinhart is literally one of the best humans alive and her kindness is out of this world.

If you could tell Haley Reinhart one thing, what would it be?
If I could tell Haley Reinhart one thing it would be “Thank You.” Haley has done so much for me personally and there is NO WAY that I could EVER thank her enough. Not only did Haley help me get through open heart surgery, she kind of sculpted me to be the person that I am today. It was 2011 when I first saw Haley on Idol and I was in my freshman-sophomore year of high school. Everyone knows that these years are some of the hardest years in an individual’s life as is, but they are even more difficult when you are struggling with your sexuality. I realized that I was gay when I was in high school; I just felt trapped and I did not know how to come out or what to do. I saw Haley Reinhart on Idol which led me to create a Twitter account. From this moment, my life changed TREMENDOUSLY (for the better)- I finally felt like I fit in somewhere. I created inseparable bonds with so many people throughout the years on Twitter and I am so glad that I’ve grown up with these people and witnessed each and every one of them grow up also. The Halien family is honestly something that I will cherish for the rest of my life and I will always remember that these people were the ones who were around during the best years of my life.

Do you stay in touch with other Haliens? Tell us how your mutual fandom has helped you connect with others.
The Haliens are honestly some of the funniest, most creative, and HOTTEST people I know (seriously though why are we all cute af?) I definitely stay in touch with most of the Haliens on a daily basis through Twitter and by other means. Without Twitter, Haley Reinhart, and American Idol, I would have never met my best friends. Story time again! In 2011 when Haley was on Idol, I created a Twitter account. I began making connections with other individuals who were fans of Haley Reinhart and we eventually became known as the “Haliens.” One night I was asked to join a Skype call by a fellow Halien named Kyle (@taithleach)- never in a million years did I think that I was going to meet my best friends that night. Over the years, me and a group of eight other individuals (@ryantempletbh, @iamtrashley, @emxrowa, @itsjefftbh, @uhkelsie, @_jasonbrown21, @shindighalien and @cluelessamantha) literally Skyped on a nightly basis. On these calls (which lasted more than 12 hours sometimes) we talked about our mutual interests such as: Haley Reinhart, American Idol, music in general, etc. We even played our own mock game of Idol for a little bit! One night we finally decided: “Hey! We’ve talked on Skype for so long… don’t you think it’s time we finally meet?” …AND WE DID! The first time we got together was in Phoenix for the Idol Season 14 Tour and since then we’ve traveled the country and been to a BUNCH of different places together (Minneapolis and the Mall of America, Philadelphia, NYC, Washington DC, North Dakota, etc.) I am so glad that Twitter and Haley Reinhart gave me the chance to meet my best friends.

Haley Reinhart has released her new album What’s That Sound?… give us your top 3 tracks from the album and why?
Wow I’m triggered you can’t ask me this. Okay fine… I’ll do it but this is going to be in no particular order…
1: Somewhere in Between: (time for me to get dragged by a handful of the other Haliens!!!!) I don’t care what others have to say about this song, it’s literally ICONIC. THE ENTIRE VIBE OF THE SONG KILLS ME EVERY DAMN TIME! (even though the other Haliens and I still don’t know some of the actual lyrics of this song it’s STILL a bop!) Basically her vocals slay and the talking part and the end of the song is going to be written on my tombstone. Also this needs to be in a James Bond/ Tarantino movie ASAP!!!
2: White Rabbit: Okay this song has been one of my favorites since the album was released and it STILL IS. The chill vibe at the beginning of the song and the buildup to Haley’s belts has me shook every time! This cover is a masterpiece.
3. Can’t Find My Way Home: Even though Haley with a full band is freaking phenomenal, I don’t think ANYTHING is better than her with just a guitar or a piano and her raw vocals. From the first moment we heard Haley cover this song a few years back I fell in love and I ALWAYSSS wanted a studio version of it. My dream came true and I couldn’t be more content with the outcome. A laidback song with VOCALS… Haley is a true queen!
Also honorable mention to Time of the Season ft. Casey Abrams BECAUSE that song is a BOP.

Give us your thoughts on…

‘Baby It’s You’ music video

Okay this might be an unpopular opinion (idk?) but I like this video better than Let’s Start. From using a hairbrush as a microphone, to serving FASHION and literal sex, to tearing apart my dreams as she destroys the rose… this video is literally perfection. Like the sassiness has me shook EVERY TIME! Basically if you don’t want to be bald don’t watch this video because your wig will be snatched and that’s a FACT!

‘Let’s Start’ music video

Haley has served ICONIC music videos this era. Like seriously? This video literally looks like something out of the 60’s and I love it. I feel like it would be an interesting experience to drop acid before watching this video because of all the psychedelic backgrounds lmao. ALSO the moment that she turns her head and has the black wig on KILLS ME EVERY TIME!!!
